The Transportation Security Administration has installed new state-of-the-art 3-D checkpoint scanners to improve explosives detection, the TSA said in a press statement. Florida Man Had Loaded Gun, Ammo In Carry-On At Trenton-Mercer Airport: TSA
A Florida man was arrested Sunday after authorities at the Trenton-Mercer Airport allegedly found a loaded gun and multiple magazines in his carry-on bag. The .380 caliber handgun, which was accompanied by two loaded gun magazines and a pellet gun, was the first firearm found at the airport checkpoint in 2022, the TSA said. Trenton-Mercer Airport Issues Alert For Inbound Emergency
First responders at Trenton-Mercer Airport were placed on alert for a possible emergency landing, authorities said. The aircraft alert was issued early Thursday afternoon at the airport in Ewing Township, initial reports said. Two motorists were plucked from the rooftops of their cars, which were stranded in floodwaters from Tropical Storm Ida in Mercer County, authorities said. A flight student and instructor experiencing engine trouble made an emergency landing on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The single-engine Cessna 172 Skyhawk took off from Trenton-Mercer Airport, and landed on the westbound side of the turnpike between the Lebanon-Lancaster and Harrisburg east exits around 6:30 p.m. Monday, CBS3 reports.
