A 62-year-old motorcyclist from Newfield was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Sunday, Sept. 8 on Route 55 in Gloucester County, authorities said. William Baldwin lost control while on his Harley-Davidson on the entrance ramp from Route 40 east at milepost 39.2 in Franklin Township around 3:50 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. That's when he veered left, struck the curb, and entered the southbound lane of travel, where he ejected and struck by an unknown vehicle, Lebron said. On Wednesday, May 1 at approximately 9 p.m., Gloucester Township police responded to Sicklerville Road near Kings Road for a crash involving two vehicles. Police activity that closed Route 42 in Bellmawr for hours has come to an end. For seven hours, the man stood on the ledge of the I-295 overpass, closing Route 42 below in both directions on Thursday afternoon, April 4 near Exit 14. "We were able to get the individual some help," said New Jersey State Trooper, who declined to provide further details. A crash knocked down a utility pole in downtown Mays Landing, closing part of a busy road in both directions during morning rush hour, officials said. Township of Hamilton police said officers were responding to the crash on Route 40 East between Route 50 and Forty Wire Road on Wednesday, Apr. 3, the department posted on Facebook. A vehicle veered off the Garden State Parkway in Cape May County, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 1 p.m. Thursday, March 28 northbound North of Exit 6 in Middle Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Based on a preliminary investigation, two vehicles were traveling north In the area of milepost 70, New Jersey State Police said. One vehicle collided with the rear of the other, they said. School Police Officer Struck By Car While Directing Traffic Near Cherry Hill HS East
A Cherry Hill High School East campus police officer was hit by a car while directing traffic on Friday, Jan. 12, a school district spokeswoman said. The crash occurred at about 7:15 a.m. in the 1700 block of Kresson Road, 6abc reported. A photo from the scene shows the front windshield of a Hyundai sedan heavily damaged.
