A Galloway Township man will spend several years in prison for a high-speed crash that killed an Ocean City man more than three years ago, authorities said. Ruddy Narvaez Jr., 36, was sentenced to three years in state prison, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland said in a news release on Thursday, Nov. 21. Strange Tape On Car Sends 2 NJ Residents To Hospital — Now Police Are Warning Drivers
Police are warning people to be aware of strange objects being placed on their vehicles after a recent incident in Atlantic County. At 1:49 p.m. on May 19, a woman flagged down a Linwood police officer to report an incident. She said that she and her sister had found a blue piece of painter's tape on the rear window of her vehicle, police said. Based on how both women were feeling after touching the tape, they believed they may have been exposed to a dangerous substance, Linwood police said. Pedestrian Struck, Killed By South Jersey Driver Identified
A 54-year-old man struck and killed by a driver has been identified. Frank Molter Jr., of Somers Point, was hit along Route 52 in front of the Economy Motel on Saturday night, July 23. He was struck in the westbound lane by a vehicle operated by a 59-year-old Mt. Laurel woman. He worked at Bally's Atlantic City, according to his Facebook page. Molter was born and raised in Ocean City, where he graduated high school in 1986, according to his obituary. : Boy Unresponsive After Ocean City Lifeguards Pull 3 From Rip Current
One of three children was hospitalized in serious condition after being rescued by lifeguards from a rip current in Ocean City Saturday, May 21, NJ Advance Media reports The 12-year-old Mays Landing boy was "breathing on his own but unresponsive," when he and the two other children from Hammonton were saved by beach patron off 10th Street around noon, the outlet said citing local officials. 21-Year-Old PA Woman Struck, Killed By Car At Jersey Shore
A 21-year-old Pennsylvania woman died after being struck by a car at the Jersey Shore last week, authorities announced. Katherine Lux, of New Hope, was struck at 26th Street and West Avenue in Ocean City around 8:45 p.m. last Wednesday, the Cape May Prosecutor's Office said. She was rushed to Shore Medical Center and transferred to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, where she died Friday, authorities said. No charges had been filed against the 44-year-old Egg Harbor Township driver. The investigation remains ongoing.

: Good Samaritans Rescue Woman Trapped In Overturned SUV
Numerous motorists rushed to an overturned SUV to rescue an injured South Jersey driver on Wednesday, authorities said. A 2000 Nissan X-terra drivne by Marleny Taborda, 64, Egg Harbor Township, was traveling east on the Black Horse Pike through a red light at the intersection of Tilton Road when her SUV collided with a 2020 Ram Pro-master van driven by Edwin Watts, 75, years of Somers Point, according to Egg Harbor Township police.
