Downed Power Lines, Crash Delay Traffic On Route 73
Downed power lines and a separate crash were delaying traffic on parts of Route 73 in Burlington County, authorities said. THe downed lines were northbound North of Route 610 (Fox Meadow Drive) in Maple Shade at about 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31, according to 511nj.org. The crash was on Route 73 in Cinnaminson Township, 511nj.org reported.

Tractor-Trailer Flips On Ben Franklin Bridge (

A tractor-trailer overturned on the New Jersey side of the Ben Franklin Bridge, authorities said. The crash at about 1:40 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, snarled traffic in the westbound lanes from Camden to mid-span, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Truck Driver Dies After Plunging Into South Jersey River
A 60-year-old truck driver was killed after he plunged into a river in Cumberland County, authorities said. The crash occurred at 11:33 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10 on Route 553 southbound at milepost 16 in Fairfield Township, according to New Jersey State Police. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Kenworth T880 ran off the road to the right, through the guide rail and into the Cohansey River, State Police said. A 46-year-old woman from Ocean County was killed on the Garden State Parkway after her SUV hit a stray wheel, authorities said. The wheel had become dislodged from a Ford F-250 during a separate crash, according to Charles Marchan, a spokesman with the New Jersey State Police. Elaina S. Clarke was driving south at 5:31 a.m. Tuesday June 6 near milepost 85.7 in Toms River when she struck the pickup's wheel, Marchan said. A dump truck overturned on the Garden State Parkway spilling sand across the road in Cape May County, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 11 a.m. on the parkway southbound at milepost 7.2 in Middle Township, according to New Jersey State Police. A group of teens and their driver escaped serious injury when a minibus from a prestigious private school in Connecticut careened across both the northbound and southbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway in Paramus on Friday the 13th. South Jersey Driver, 37, Killed In Collision With Dump Truck
A 37-year-old man from Camden County was killed when he struck a dump truck in Gloucester County, NJ Advance Media reported. Thurman H. Smith Jr., of Chesilhurst, was heading west on Route 322/Glassboro Road when he struck the vehicle around midnight Thursday, Oct. 6, the outlet said citing Monroe Township police. Smith was pronounced dead at the scene near Fries Mill Road. The 34-year-old dump truck driver was not injured. Pedestrian Struck Dead By State Police Trooper: Prosecutor
A male pedestrian was struck and killed by a New Jersey State Police trooper early Thursday morning, authorities in Middlesex County said. The crash occurred around 5:55 a.m. near on Route 1 south near Raymond Road in South Brunswick, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and his identity was being withheld pending notification. The investigation is active and continuing. Tenafly Woman Dead, Girl Injured In Mother's Day Pedestrian Crash, Driver, 82, Faces Summons
A woman was killed and a girl injured when they were struck by a sedan while crossing a Tenafly street early Sunday, authorities said. The pair were struck at Engle Street and Hillside Avenue by a 2009 Honda Accord driven by an 82-year-old borough resident around 7:30 a.m., police Capt. Michael deMoncada said.
