The body of Edward Anthony Nece, whose father lives in Riverside, NJ was identified through DNA samples, Bensalem police announced Monday, Feb. 19. Nece's body was found by fisherman on Oct. 19, 2003, in a drainage area on the Yellow Freight property located at 2627 State Road. Shooting Reported In Burlington County (Developing) A shooting occurred overnight in Burlington County, according to developing and unconfirmed reports. At 1:05 a.m., Monday, April 25, police responded to the 400 block of Cleveland Avenue in Riverside to investigate a person shot, initial reports said. Police found an injured man suffering a gunshot wound in his shoulder, reports said. He was taken to Cooper University Hospital.

South Jersey Man Gets 15 Years State Prison For Sexually Assaulting 3 Children A 37-year-old man from Burlington County was sentenced to 15 years in state prison on Wednesday on sexual assault charges, authorities said.  Christopher Elder of Riverside pleaded guilty in February to first-degree aggravated sexual assault and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child. Under terms of the plea agreement negotiated by the prosecutor’s office, Elder must serve the entire sentence and will not be eligible for parole, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina.
