Oh deer! A 13-year-old bicyclist was struck by a deer that was struck by a car in a chaotic scene in Hackettstown on Tuesday, Oct. 10. At 7:03 p.m., police responded to the 600 block of Willow Grove Street to a report of a teen bicyclist struck by a deer, officers said. Police determined the deer ran into the roadway and was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound, officers said. The deer then proceeded to hit the bicyclist, police said. Officer Struck By Car On South Jersey Highway, Hit-Run Driver Charged
A 52-year-old woman has been charged after she struck a police officer on a New Jersey highway and then fled the scene, authorities said. Rachel Glatt was heading south on Route 130 when she struck Robbinsville patrolman Connor Boyle, 25, who was assisting a disabled driver near Voelbel Road at about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, the officer's department said in a release. A 25-year-old Clifton man is charged with stabbing his 22-year-old cousin to death on New Year’s Eve. Motasem Ramadan fought with police who arrested him following the fatal stabbing at a home across the street from a city elementary school around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, authorities said. Officers responding to the two-family home on Van Cleve Avenue near School No. 12 found Waleed Ramadan with multiple stab wounds to his neck and face, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Virginia Walmart Shooting: Seven Including Gunman Dead In Rampage, Police Say
A shooting rampage left seven people dead including the gunman at a Chesapeake, VA Walmart Tuesday, Nov. 22 — just two days before Thanksgiving, authorities said. Police used tactical force to enter the Battlefield Boulevard Walmart at Sam's Circle on reports of an "active shooter" at 10:12 p.m., and found multiple bodies, a Chesapeake police spokesman told reporters. Authorities later confirmed seven victims, including the shooter, and one person near the entrance of the store.

Car Thief Kills One Person, Hurts 3 In Wild Central Jersey Pursuit: AG
A car thief being pursued by police crashed into several civilian vehicles killing one person and hurting three others overnight in Central Jersey, authorities said. A Marlboro officer was pursuing the car stolen from a local home when it struck unrelated civilian vehicles around 2:15 a.m. near the intersection of Spring Valley Road and Route 9 South, the State Attorney General's office said. The identities of those involved were not being released. The Attorney General’s Office was investigating, as is standard procedure.

A welfare check resulted in the arrest of two people and recovery of more than 14 pounds of marijuana, authorities said. A driver was in critical condition following a crash in Burlington County, according to NJ Advance Media. A thief was steps from fleeing with a fellow traveler's wedding band at Newark Airport when TSA and Port Authority officers teamed up to catch him, authorities said. There was an attempted car theft at a home near Gov. Phil Murphy's mansion near the Navasink River in Middletown, authorities said. At approximately 3:25 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11, there was a break-in at a garage that is in close proximity to the governor’s house, Middletown police said.
