Passenger, 25, Dies In Collision With Dump Truck In South Jersey
A 25-year-old passenger was killed in a collision with a dump truck in Salem County, authorities said.
The crash occurred at 5:32 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11 at the intersection of Garden and Centerton roads in Pittsgrove Township, according to New Jersey State Police.
A 24-year-old Camden resident was driving a Kia northbound on Centerton Road and the Kenworth dump truck was heading west on Garden Road, police said.
As a result of the crash, Alize Fernandez, 24, the car's driver, sustained serious injuries and the passenger, Kayla Dowling, 25, of Blackwood, sustained fatal injuries.

A Salem County man has been sentenced to four decades in New Jersey state prison for his part in a robbery in which the victim died of suffocation, NJ Advance Media reports.
Larry A. Bohrer, 52, of Pittsgrove Township, was found guilty of reckless manslaughter in the death of Michael A. Fazzio, who was restricted with an extension cord, tied with duct tape, and choked by a comforter that was wrapped around his head during the March 2017 robbery, the outlet says.

A South Jersey man was critically injured in a stabbing, authorities said.
A resident in the house, Zayne M. Olsen, 19, was charged with attempted murder in the stabbing in Pittsgrove Township, a New Jersey State Police spokeswoman said.
Troopers responded to the residence on Laura Lane at about 11 a.m. Monday, March 14.

A 52-year-old South Jersey man was found guilty of reckless manslaughter but not murder in a deadly 2017 robbery, NJ Advance Media reports.
A jury on Friday found Larry A. Bohrer, 52, of Pittsgrove Township, guilty of aggravated manslaughter in the March 13, 2017 death of Michael A. Fazzio, the outlet said.
His co-defendant, Thomas J. Bergholz, 37, of Franklinville, in 2019 pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated manslaughter in 2019 and agreed to testify against Bohrer, NJ Advance Media says.
