Teen Charged In Double-Shooting In Atlantic City Atlantic City police charged a second suspect in a double shooting in December 2022, authorities said. An investigation conducted by detectives of the Violent Crimes Unit has identified a 15-year-old male juvenile as an additional suspect involved in the shooting resulting in the filing of criminal charges.  The juvenile was already in custody and held at the Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center for an unrelated handgun possession charge that occurred on Jan. 30, Atlantic City police said. On Monday, Jan. 30, a bust in the 1800 block of Hummock Avenue resulted in the arrest of three juveniles for possession of weapons and an Atlantic City man for the possession and sale of drugs, according to Atlantic City police. While conducting surveillance, detectives observed four individuals taking part in suspected drug transactions and subsequently stopped and detained them for investigative purposes. The victim reported the assault in January 2022, prompting an investigation, Atlantic City police said. Upon return of a forensic analysis of the collected evidence from the investigation, charges were approved by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office on Jan. 12. 2023.
