Historic Drug Seizure Near Atlantic City Nets Fentanyl, Heroin, Coke, Feds Say
Local and federal authorities seized more than 30 pounds of fentanyl, heroin and cocaine – the area’s largest narcotics haul in history -- while raiding a basement drug mill just outside Atlantic City, authorities said.
A federal judge in Camden ordered via videoconference that Ricardo Clavijo, 39, who lives in the Egg Harbor Township home, and Christopher Gonzalez, 37, of Pleasantville, remain held without bail, Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Honig said.
Each is charged with conspiring to have and sell more than a kilo of heroin.

Leonard B. Ludwigsen Jr., 26, of Egg Harbor Township and Neco J. Pitts, 28 of Long Branch were indicted for the first-degree felony murder of 24-year-old Arturo Barrera III last year, according the the Atlantic County Prosecutor.

An Atlantic City man was charged in the overdose deaths of two men from the United Kingdom at Bally's Casino in March 2020, authorities said.
Tyrell Gist, 32, is accused of selling Scott P. Jordon, 43, and Simon Gamble, 40, the drugs that ultimately killed them, Atlantic City Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner said.
Gist is facing two counts of strict liability homicide and multiple drug offenses.

Detectives recovered three handguns, 1,050 bags of heroin, three pounds of ecstasy, more than seven ounces of methamphetamine, 1.5 ounces of cocaine and nearly $14,000 in cash, according to Atlantic City police.

Keshawn T. Faulkner, of Atlantic City, was indicted by a grand jury in for the murder of 25 year-old Wayne Brown, according to Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner.

An Atlantic County Grand Jury returned an indictment last week charging Emery Chapman, 39, of Pleasantville and Brian Whitted, 56, of Galloway Township with first-degree strict liability for a drug related death, conspiracy, possession with intent to distribute, distribution of CDS, according to Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G.
