Man, 47, Killed When Pickup Strikes Pole In South Jersey: Police
A 47-year-old man was killed when his pickup truck was involved in a one-vehicle crash, authorities said.
Walter Green IV, 47, of Monroeville, was driving north on the 2500 block of Delsea Drive in Franklin Township when his truck ran off the road and hit a utility pole at 10:38 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, according to Franklin Township police.
First responders found Green unresponsive and took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
Police ID Passenger Killed When Car Strikes Tree Along Atlantic City Expressway
New Jersey State Police have identified a 19-year-old passenger killed in a single-car crash along the Atlantic City Expressway in Hamilton.
Jazaya Lee, of Vineland, died of her injuries after the crash at 10:26 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 9 at milepost 23.4, State Police said.
The driver, Andres Hernandez-Creamadel, 19, of Atlantic City, also was killed in the crash. He was driving east when he went off the road to the right and struck a tree, police said.
3 Killed In Crash On Garden State Parkway
Three people were killed in a crash when their car left the Garden State Parkway and struck a tree, authorities said.
The crash occurred at 9:52 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 6 on the southbound lanes of the highway near milepost 44.6 in Port Republic in Atlantic County, according to New Jersey State Police.
A Kia struck the rear of a Toyota, causing the Kia to lose control and run off the road and hit a tree, State Police said.
The Kia's driver, Sabrina Kontos, 24, of Ocean Grove, and two passengers were killed in the crash: Dion Bullock, 27, of Asbury Park, and Omar Williams, 28, of Eatontown.
