Areas in South and Central Jersey got between three and 11 inches of snow in the first winter storm of the season (click here for a map of snow totals from NBC). Authorities ID Man Killed By Train In Asbury Park As Barnegat Resident, 34 Authorities have identified a man struck and killed by a train in Asbury Park. James Kessock, 34, Barnegat, was hit about 9:55 p.m. Sunday, according to Jim Smith, a New Jersey Transit spokesman Kessock was struck along the North Jersey Coast Line tracks near First Avenue around 9:55 p.m., Smith said. North Jersey Coast Line rail service was suspended in both directions between Long Branch and Bay Head. New Jersey Transit police investigated.

Jeydon Lowe pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide and DWI on Jan. 17, and was sentenced before Superior Court Judge Linda G. Baxter, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.
