A Baltimore-based food company is recalling hundreds of products because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Fresh Ideation Food Group LLC says the products were sold from Tuesday, Jan. 24 through Monday, Jan. 30 in nine states, including Connecticut, Washington DC, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia. It's a staggering number: 75,846 fugitives were arrested by U.S. Marshals in the fiscal year 2022 -- an average of 303 per day of activity, the service reported. Police in Ocean County said they broke up a shoplifting ring from Baltimore, MD, with the arrest of four suspects. Outlets in Jackson Township had been a target for professional shoplifting rings, police said. Flying out of New Jersey and Maryland will do the least damage to your wallet, according to a new report. New Jersey was ranked the second cheapest state to fly from, with an average ticket price of $268.90, a study by couponfollow.com revealed. Flight prices from Newark have dropped over 18% since early 2019, the website said. Bergen County prosecutor’s detectives seized enough fentanyl to produce nearly 3½ million potentially fatal doses, along with enough heroin to fill more than 27,000 folds, while arresting a Baltimore man. Carlo Francisco Olivar Gomez, a 42-year-old painter by trade, was caught with more than 15 pounds of fentanyl and more than six pounds of heroin, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. The man who police say called 9-1-1 telling dispatchers he shot his fiancé portrayed a happy and loving relationship on social media. George Kuhn, 43, has been charged with murder in the June 12 death of 36-year-old Kristy Helmert on the 6400 block of Erdman Avenue in Baltimore, city police said.
