Motorcyclist Dies In Atlantic County Crash: Cops A 57-year-old motorcyclist from Galloway Township was killed in a crash in Egg Harbor City on Friday evening, Feb. 7, police said. The Egg Harbor City Police Department responded to the intersection of Route 30 and Cincinnati Avenue at approximately 6:34 p.m. for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle, the department said. Upper Township paramedics and Seaville firefighters were called to the northbound side of the parkway at around 9:03 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, Seaville Fire Rescue said in a Facebook post. Atlantic County Man Sentenced For Handgun Possession A 22-year-old man from Absecon was sentenced to New Jersey State Prison for the unlawful possession of a handgun, authorities said. Quasir Smith was sentenced on Tuesday, May 9 to a five-year state prison term, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. On Feb. 10, 2022, Galloway Township Police responded to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center – Mainland Campus, for a report of a handgun found on Smith by hospital personnel, the prosecutor said. Smith did not have a permit to carry the handgun.  He was subsequently placed under arrest.
