Police Rescue 83 Cats From Jersey Shore Home Police in Brick said they rescued 83 cats and three dogs from a home in the township. On Thursday evening, May 4, Brick police said they had received a call from a resident on Mantoloking Road requesting police assistance for "an excessive number of cats inside the residence." Police requested assistance from Berkeley Hazmat as well as Brick Township Fire District #1.  Once conditions were determined to be safe, authorities began removing the animals, police said.
