8-Year-Old Boy Sleeping In Parked Car Killed After Fishing Trip In South Jersey: Prosecutor
An 8-year-old boy from Philadelphia died in a crash while sleeping in a car parked along White Horse Pike in Absecon, authorities said. The boy was asleep in the car after a fishing trip with his father when the crash occurred at about 3:25 a.m. on Sunday, July 23, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. The initial investigation indicates a 2019 Nissan Sentra, operated by Edward Johnston, 25, of Egg Harbor City, was traveling westbound when it went off the roadway to the right and struck a 1995 Honda that was parked on the shoulder, the prosecutor said. Mystery Rock Maybe From Outer Space Lands In NJ Yard
An 8-year-old boy from Cape May County made an extraordinary find with a metal detector. It may link back to a meteor that fell to Earth on Nov. 13, 2021, according to Chris Bakley, an astro-photographer. "The meteor was so large that many eyewitnesses saw it take over the daytime sky. Injured Boy Rescued At Ridgewood Pool
UPDATE: An 8-year-old boy was hospitalized after being injured during opening day of Ridgewood's Graydon Pool. The boy was conscious but initially couldn't move, immediately raising fears of a spinal injury, after he either fell or jumped from a platform and hit his neck shortly before 6 p.m., witnesses said. Lifeguards, two firefighters who were at the pool and other first responders got to him quickly and worked together to stabilize the boy and bring him into a waiting ambulance.
