A car was reported overturned on the Atlantic City Expressway eastbound in Gloucester Township, a New Jersey State Police spokesman said.

State police Sgt. Philip Curry said that the single-car crash occurred at 11:19 a.m. near mile marker 42.2.

Preliminary investigation revealed a Mazda ran off the road into the center median and impacted several trees,  according to Curry.

The driver was taken to Cooper University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Curry said.

The vehicle has been removed and the cause of the crash remains under investigation, the sergeant said.
