The victim was identified as Jamal Scott, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.
On Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, at approximately 9:10 p.m., Camden County Police responded to 10th Street and Mechanic Street for several 911 calls for reports of a person shot.
Police found a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to Cooper University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at approximately 9:20 p.m.
This investigation is active and ongoing.
