A motorcyclist was hospitalized in critical condition following a crash before dawn on Tuesday, Sept. 10 in the Lincoln Tunnel, authorities said. According to Port Authority spokeswoman Lenis Valens, the motorcyclist crashed around 3:50 a.m. in the center tube's two westbound lanes. The operator was hospitalized in critical condition. Two Tractor Trailers, Two Cars Collide On Route 80 (

A crash involving two tractor-trailers and two passenger vehicles closed a portion of Route 80 early Wednesday, Aug. 21, police said. Troopers responded to the crash in the eastbound lanes at milepost 37.6 in Rockaway Township around 8:15 a.m., Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. Minor injuries were reported and the crash remains under investigation.

Route 80 was down two lanes due to a crash early Wednesday, July 31 in Morris County, the NJDOT site says. It happened in the eastbound lanes in Rockaway, west of Exit 35 around 8:15 a.m. As of press time, emergency vehicles were at the scene with traffic getting by in the right lane.

The driver killed in an early-morning crash Wednesday, July 10 on Route 130 in Hamilton has been identified as the director of the New Jersey State Commission of Investigation (SCI). The agency identified its executive director Chadd W. Lackey as the 55-year-old Voorhees driver who died in the Hamilton crash.
