NJ Transit Train Evacuated In Morris County Due To Smoke Condition: Officials An NJ Transit traveling from Hoboken to Lake Hopatcong had to be evacuated in Morris County due to a smoke condition on the evening of Monday, Sept. 16, authorities said. The Morris & Essex train 807 departed Hoboken at 5:28 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Lake Hopatcog at 7 p.m., a spokesperson for NJ Transit said. It was evacuated at Convent Station in Morris Township due to a smoke condition in one of the cars, a spokesman said. No injuries were reported among the 50 customers and crew, authorities said. Man Gave Fake Name, Had Drugs, Outstanding Warrants During Denville Traffic Stop: Police A 31-year-old Lake Hopatcong resident was arrested and charged on Wednesday, Sept. 11, with possessing drugs and giving police a fake name during a traffic stop in Denville, authorities said. At 11:15 a.m., officers pulled over a vehicle on Route 53 South for multiple equipment violations, Denville police said in a release. During the stop, officers discovered the driver of the vehicle, Edwin Wendlocher, possessed a controlled dangerous substance, drug paraphernalia and Wendocher gave the officer a false name, police said. Wendlocher was arrested and transported back to police headquarters …

Ex-NJ Boy Scouts Worker, 70, Admits Trafficking Child Porn, Recording Kids In Bathroom: Feds 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: A 70-year-old former New Jersey Boy Scout camp employee admitted secretly recording videos of children using bathrooms there, federal authorities said.  William Mickel was employed by the Boy Scouts of America in Morris County when he trafficked videos and still images of child sex abuse via email, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said. Mickel had hundreds of files stored on electronic devices in his Lake Hopatcong home, some of which "depicted children who were surreptitiously recorded using bathrooms in the Boy Scout camps where Mickel worked," Sellinger said.…
