A woman shot to death inside a Northampton County home has been identified as 27-year-old Atirah N. Steed, while another woman remains jailed without bail on homicide charges, authorities announced Monday, Aug. 24.
Steed died from multiple gunshot wounds, an autopsy completed Monday at the Lehigh County Coroner's Office and Forensic Center determined. Her death was ruled a homicide, Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said.

A heavily intoxicated man chased a woman from a Bergen County home with a knife after threatening to kill her and a child, authorities said.
Police were called to a Fairview home for a domestic incident involving a weapon in Fairview on Saturday, Aug. 22, around 8:20 p.m., Deputy Police Chief John Pierrotti said.

An 18-year-old has been arrested after a stabbing sent a victim to the hospital from a Hawthorne home over the weekend, police confirmed.
Keishmer O. Roman was arrested in connection with the Sunday, Aug. 23 incident, Hawthorne police confirmed.
Roman faces charges of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, and simple assault, according to Passaic County jail records. He was also charged with criminal mischief in an offense dated Monday, Aug. 24.

Authorities have identified the two people killed in a head-on South Jersey crash involving a stolen G-Wagon, as an 18-year-old and three juveniles face charges, authorities said.
Robert Barr Jr., 54, and Alice Stilwell, 67, both of Egg Harbor Township, were killed in the crash in Mays Landing on Saturday, Aug. 22, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.
The crash happened at Route 50 and Third Street at approximately 7:30 a.m., authorities said. Investigators determined a stolen vehicle was at fault in the crash, authorities said.

The driver, a 20-year-old borough resident, was making a right turn from Fair Lawn Parkway onto Berkshire Road when the silver Nissan spun out and slammed rear-end-first through the fence, according to Loving and Fair Lawn Police Sgt. Sean Macys.
