'John Doe' Arrested After Assault With Weapon, Foot Pursuit In Warren County: Police
A man identified only as John Doe was arrested after assaulting a person with a weapon in Warren County, officers announced Tuesday, July 7.
At 10:24 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, officers responded to an assault on the 100 block of West Washington Avenue and found a person who had been assaulted with an object, Washington Township police said. Police did not identify the object.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, police said. The suspect was located and apprehended following a foot pursuit, police said.

A 36-year-old man wanted for a fatal shooting in Jersey City was arrested in North Carolina, authorities announced Tuesday, July 7.
At 2:30 p.m., on Sunday, June 28, Jersey City police responded to Orient Avenue near MLK Drive and found Jenaro Tejada, 38, with gunshot wounds, Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Mello said. Tejada was transported to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Mello said.
A second victim, a 45-year-old Jersey City man, was located with a gunshot wound.
