Hammer-Wielding Man Sentenced In Deadly Attack At South Jersey Truck Stop: Prosecutor A 43-year-old man from Burlington County has been sentenced to 50 years in New Jersey State Prison for repeatedly striking a Delaware man in the head with a hammer at a Salem County truck stop, authorities said. Truck Flips On Route 48 In South Jersey (Developing) A truck crashed and overturned jamming traffic on Route 48 in Salem County, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 6:50 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3 in Carneys Point Township, according to NJ DOT. Traffic in both directions west of Route 40 was affected, 511nj.org reported. All lanes remained closed westbound as of 10 a.m. Check back for updates.
