Person Fatally Shot In Newark: Prosecutor A person was fatally shot in Newark on the evening of Monday, Jan. 6, authorities said. The victim was shot around 9:17 p.m. on the 100 block of Seymour Avenue, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said. The victim's identity is pending a next of kin notification, authorities said. No arrests have been made, authorities said.
