$1 Billion+ Contract Awarded To Replace AirTrain System At Newark Airport
The Port Authority announce it had awarded a $1.184 billion design-build contract for a new elevated rail structure and three new stations to replace the existing AirTrain system at Newark Liberty International Airport. The contract was awarded to Tutor Perini/O&G. Hoboken PATH Station Closing In February For Repairs: Port Authoit
As part of a repair project, the Port Authority announced the PATH Hoboken station will be closed from Thursday, Jan. 30 to Tuesday, Feb. 25. The move comes as part of the agency's two-year $430 million PATH Forward program. During the closure, the Port Authority will carry out critical safety repairs and improvements across several elements of the 116-year-old system. Nearly $6 million in federal infrastructure money will go toward the redevelopment of the waterfront including a new Ferry Terminal in Carteret, federal and local officials announced on Wednesday, June 26.
