Heroin, Ecstasy, Crack Cocaine: Drug Dealer Busted In Hoboken, Police Say
A drug dealer was arrested and charged in Hoboken after residents complained of illegal drug activity, authorities announced Friday, July 17.
At 9:45 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, officers observed Jacob Smith, a 31-year-old Hoboken resident sell drugs to another person inside a dark colored vehicle, Hoboken police said. Smith was stopped and a search incident to arrest found him to be in possession of controlled dangerous substances and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Dateline NBC will be airing a one-hour episode titled "Slow Burn" about the 2018 murder of the Caneiro family in Colts Neck on Friday, July 17 at 10 p.m.
Paul Caneiro, an Ocean Township resident, was sentenced to four consecutive life sentences after being convicted of murdering his brother, his sister-in-law and their two children in their Colts Neck home.
In levying the sentence, Judge Marc Lemieux called Caneiro, a "callous, heartless, brutal killer."

A charismatic television presence whose work stretched across generations of daytime and primetime hits has died.
Scott Bryce, best known for originating the role of Craig Montgomery on the CBS soap opera “As the World Turns,” died on Sunday, July 12, following a battle with cancer, according to the Los Angeles Times. He was 68.
