PA Man Killed, Driver Airlifted In Crash On Jersey Shore Road: Troopers A northeast Pennsylvania man was dead and another man was airlifted after a head-on crash on the Jersey Shore, officials said. Thomas Grau, 55, of Falls, PA, died in the crash in Dennis Township on Tuesday, Oct. 15, a New Jersey State Police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to the scene on Route 47 South just south of Tyler Road near milepost 18.8. at around 12:28 p.m. Investigators said Grau was driving north in a Toyota Prius when he crossed the center line and struck an oncoming Nissan Pathfinder. Egg Harbor Township police responded to the crash at the traffic lights for the intersection of Fire Road and the parkway exit ramps on Tuesday, July 16, the department said in a Facebook post. The state Department of Transportation reported the crash near the northbound exit ramp at 11:56 a.m. EXIT 36 from/to the GSP is closed at this time due to a motor vehicle crash with injuries at the traffic signal on Fire Road. Pavement Heave Causes Major Traffic Jam On Garden State Parkway Morning rush hour traffic appeared to be moving smoothly on the Garden State Parkway after buckled pavement caused major delays in Toms River. A pavement heave was found on the southbound side near milepost 82.7, the parkway said on Twitter at 5:47 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2. Emergency repairs forced the right lane to close, causing significant delays during a busy Fourth of July holiday travel week. Egg Harbor Township police responded to the crash near the intersection of Black Horse Pike (Route 40) and Delancy Avenue at around 7:09 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19. Police ID Bicyclist Killed On Black Horse Pike, Police Say A bicyclist was killed in a crash on Black Horse Pike on Friday, May 17, police said. Arthur Herz, 61, of Mays Landing entered the westbound lanes on a bicycle around 8:20 p.m. when he "made impact with" a 21-year-old man's Jeep Cherokee, Hamilton Township police said. It happened near milepost 45.5. Herz, who was not wearing a helmet was pronounced dead at the scene. The Jeep driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken via ambulance to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Pomona for further evaluation.
