Boy, 3, Critical After Being Struck By Car On Busy NJ Highway: Police A 3-year-old boy was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle on a busy New Jersey roadway, police said. The Lindenwold child was struck by a southbound 81-year-old Cherry Hill driver on Route 73 at Holtec Drive around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26 in Evesham, according to local police. Evesham police officers and firefighters immediately initiated life-saving efforts on the child, who was taken to Cooper Hospital. The child remains in critical condition. Bomb Threat At South Jersey Business Closes Route 73 (Developing) Part of Route 73 in Evesham was closed after police received a report of a bomb placed at an unidentified business, authorities said. Buildings were being evacuated and detours were in place in the area of Route 73 and Brick Road, Evesham Police Chief Walt Miller said on Facebook at about noon on Thursday, June 27. “We ask the public to plan extra travel time in this area and to be patient as we navigate this situation," Miller said. “Our goal is to ensure public safety in this area, while we investigate this situation and find a resolution to the threat.”

Hero: South Jersey Police Officer Saved Fire Victim's Life, Chief Says A police officer from South Jersey is credited with saving the life of a resident during a recent fire. The fire broke out at about 4 p.m. on June 16 on the 1800 block of Sagemore Drive in Evesham.  Evesham Patrol Officer Kevin Long was the first on the scene, shortly followed by the Evesham Fire Department.
