A 28-year-old Ocean Township resident was arrested and charged on Monday, March 10 with a fatally stabbing a man in Neptune City last week, authorities said. A 17-year-old was arrested and charged on Tuesday, March 4, after they brought a knife to South Brunswick High School, forcing a lockdown, authorities said. At 2:15 p.m., a South Brunswick High School staff member said two students reported another student had made threatening statements and had a knife, South Brunswick police said. A 39-year-old Jackson Township man was indicted by a grand jury on Wednesday, Feb. 26 for murdering his roommate, authorities said. At 5:55 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2024, Robert Sunris, 74, was found fatally stabbed in the chest, with a knife near his body, in a home on Maple Street, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said. A 25-year-old convict from Lawrenceville was arrested for multiple weapons and drug offenses, authorities said. On Tuesday, June 11, at approximately 6 a.m., Lawrence Township Police detectives executed a search warrant at a residence along the first block of Woodmont Drive in Lawrenceville. Ahsan Shaikh was charged with a dozen weapons and drug offenses including the manufacture and distribution of LSD, hallucinogenic mushrooms and marijuana, police said.
