Two Pennsylvania men were killed after being struck by a vehicle while fixing a tire on Route 78 in Somerset County, authorities said. At 5:25 p.m., a Toyota minivan with a flat tire was stopped on the right shoulder on Route 78 Westbound in Warren Township, Sgt. Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. A New Jersey fugitive wanted in a deadly train station shooting and a home invasion was arrested in northeastern Pennsylvania, authorities said. U.S. Marshals took 19-year-old Damian Bass into custody, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release on Friday, Sept. 6. Bass' last known address was in Fanwood. The owner of a headstone company is accused of ripping off hundreds of grieving customers across greater Philadelphia, federal prosecutors allege in an indictment. Gregory J. Stefan Jr., 54, of Upper Merion, is charged with seven counts of wire fraud, according to the US Attorney's Office. Between January 2018 and September of last year, Stefan accepted more than $1.5 million from customers who ordered memorials for loved ones, then failed to deliver the headstones they bought, authorities said.
