Man Stabbed, Woman Airlifted In Bridgeton Assault, House Fire: Police
Two people were hospitalized after a stabbing and a house fire in Bridgeton, authorities said. Bridgeton police responded to a 27-year-old man who arrived at Inspira Hospital on the afternoon of Saturday, Oct. 5, the department said in a news release. Officers learned the man was an assault victim suffering from "non-life-threatening" stab wounds. Investigators said the stabbing happened in a home on the 100 block of Oak Street. The first call for the fire at Brown's Point Marina came in just after 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, a Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office spokesperson said. Four Marina Employees Suffer Smoke Inhalation During Boat Fire In Wildwood, Firefighters Say
Four people suffered smoke inhalation after a large boat caught fire at a marina in Wildwood, officials said. The fire started on the boat docked at Schooner Island Marina at around 12:39 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22, the City of Wildwood Fire Department said in a Facebook post. When firefighters arrived, they found the roughly 42-foot boat named "Luv-It" engulfed in flames. The fire spread to the dock and a nearby small shed. A police officer from South Jersey is credited with saving the life of a resident during a recent fire. The fire broke out at about 4 p.m. on June 16 on the 1800 block of Sagemore Drive in Evesham.
