Skateboarder Killed After Struck By Vehicle: Barnegat Police
A 36-year-old Barnegat resident was killed after he was struck by a vehicle early Monday morning in Barnegat, Sept. 15, authorities said. At 1 a.m., the driver of a 2025 Honda Pilot told officers he struck a man who was lying in the roadway, Barnegat police said. The man, who was riding an electric skateboard, was ejected from the skateboard and found lying on West Bay Avenue near Sandpiper Road, police said. A New Jersey driver was involved in a deadly three-vehicle crash on I-95 in Bensalem Township, Bucks County on Monday, Sept. 8, at 4:58 a.m., Pennsylvania State Police announced. The Bucks County Coroner identified the 65-year-old Levittown man killed in the crash as Charles Lufkin. An autopsy was conducted on Tuesday, but Lufkin’s cause of death has not yet been revealed pending toxicology results, according to Coroner Patti Campi, who expressed her sincere condolences to the victim’s family. Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash that culminated in a dump truck crashing into a home in Howell on Monday morning, Aug. 4, authorities said. At 9:05 a.m., the crash occurred at Lakewood Farmingdale Road (Route 547) north of Oak Glen Road, Howell Township police said. Barnegat Man Dies Days After Pulled From Vehicle, Airlifted To Hospital: Police
An 82-year-old Barnegat man died days after a two-car crash on Wednesday, March 12, authorities said. At 11 a.m., officers responded to West Bay Avenue and Heritage Point Boulevard and found the crash, Barnegat police said. A 2020 Ford F-150, driven by a 69-year-old man, was traveling west on West Bay when it collided with a 2018 Acura entering the roadway to travel eastbound, driven by the 82-year-old, police said. Pedestrian Critical After Struck By Vehicle On Route 9: Prosecutor
A 77-year-old Howell Township man is in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle on Route 9 on the early morning of Tuesday, Jan. 7, authorities said. At 4:51 a.m., Howell Township police responded to Route 9 and Strickland Road after a driver, who was traveling southbound in the right lane of Route 9, collided with the man, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said. The man remains hospitalized with multiple injuries, Santiago said. The driver remained on scene and was cooperative with law enforcement officers, Santiago said.

A car overturned and crashed into a home in Bernardsville on Sunday evening, Nov. 3, authorities said. At 11:10 p.m., firefighters responded to the crash on Pill Hill Road and found car partially overturned and into a home, Bernardsville Fire Co. No. 1 & First Aid Squad said. Firefighters were able to stabilize the car and both occupants had minor injuries, authorities said. The occupants of the home were unharmed and the home was checked for hazardous structural damage, authorities said.
