Shawn Kaplan, of Brick, died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 29, according to his obituary on the Colonial Funeral Home website. He was 40 years old. Jersey Shore Man Indicted For Killing Air Force Vet, Roommate: Officials A 39-year-old Jackson Township man was indicted by a grand jury on Wednesday, Feb. 26 for murdering his roommate, authorities said. At 5:55 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2024, Robert Sunris, 74, was found fatally stabbed in the chest, with a knife near his body, in a home on Maple Street, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said. An investigation determined Louis Gargiso, Sunris' roommate, was the person responsible and he was arrested that same day, authorities said.
