Man Set Off Explosive Device On Atlantic City Sidewalk, Police Say An Atlantic City man was accused of setting off an explosive device downtown, authorities said. Stacy Thomas, 38, was arrested on Wednesday, July 10, the Atlantic City Police Department said in a news release. An officer saw an explosion on a sidewalk on the 1500 block of Atlantic Avenue at around 2:03 a.m. The officer saw someone running from the area but first went to the explosion site to see if there were any victims.
