7 Injured After Van Crashes Into Police Car On Route 78: Njsp Seven people were hospitalized after a van crashed into a police car on Route 78 in Hunterdon County on Sunday, Jan. 26, authorities said. At 5:42 a.m., a Ford transit van was traveling eastbound in the center lane on Route 78 in Clinton Township while an unoccupied marked troop car with its emergency lights activated was parked diverting traffic due to a prior crash, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. Man Killed In Route 31 Crash After Car Overturns In Ditch: Police A 56-year-old Columbia resident was killed in a car crash on Route 31 in Warren County on the morning of Monday, Oct. 14, authorities said. At 5:43 a.m., officers responded to the car crash where they found a Chevy Avalanche had overturned, Washington Township police said. A preliminary investigation revealed the Chevy was traveling southbound on Route 31 north when it left the roadway, striking the guardrail and bridge abutment before rolling over into a ditch, police said.
