Medical Episode Caused Serious Wreck That Hospitalized Little Falls Officer, Department Says
Little Falls police have released details in the overnight wreck that hospitalized an officer. The Little Falls officer was experiencing a medical episode while driving around 1:05 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, the department said. The officer’s marked patrol vehicle veered off Main Street and struck the building of a local business. The officer was not responding to any calls or engaged in any law enforcement actions at the time of the crash. A police officer and a child were both hospitalized during a harrowing incident at a Central Jersey motel, authorities said. The Springfield Police Department is mourning the loss of one of their own. Officer John Paul Patrick suffered a medical episode while on duty on Oct. 6, which Chief John Cook said ultimately led to his passing on Monday, Oct. 21. Lightning Strike Causes Fire At Turtle Back Zoo, Officials Say
A North Jersey zoo erupted in flames after being struck by lightning on Wednesday, Aug. 28, officials said. West Orange responders got a call from the Turtle Back Zoo saying its Sea Turtle Recovery Building had been struck by lightning around 9:45 p.m., a spokesperson for the town said.
