Quamel Benton, 36, of Farmingdale (Monmouth County) was sentenced on Jan. 10, to seven years in New Jersey State Prison for attempted kidnapping by Superior Court Judge Kenneth T. NJ Trio Ram Police Car In Stolen Vehicle, Police Say Three people, including two juveniles, were arrested on Sunday, Dec. 29 for driving a stolen car in Township of Union, authorities said. At 5:20 p.m., officers discovered the stolen car near the Galloping Hill Mall at 1350 Galloping Hill Rd., Township of Union police said. Officers surrounded the car with the goal of blocking it to prevent a pursuit, police said. The driver of the stolen car tried to force his way out of the containment and repeatedly rammed police cars, officers said. Fleeing Suspected Car Thief 19, Plunges To Death At George Washington Bridge A teenage suspected car thief fleeing police plunged to his death at the George Washington Bridge before dawn Sunday, authorities said. The 19-year-old driver fled from a traffic stop by officers from the NYPD's 52nd Precinct in the Bronx shortly before 1:30 a.m. June 9, they said.
