Two women were hospitalized, including one who was airlifted, after their cars crashed in Ocean County, authorities said. Berkeley Township police responded to the crash at the intersection of Jamaica Boulevard and Bimini Drive at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, the department said in a news release. A pedestrian crash temporarily closed Route 1 in Central Jersey, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 27 northbound near Adams Lane in North Brunswick Township, according to the NJDOT and local police. A United States Postal Service worker was injured when his van caught fire in Atlantic County, officials said. Margate firefighters and police responded to the fire on Clarendon Avenue near Amherst Avenue at around 1:40 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, the fire department said in a Facebook post.
