Barnegat Man Dies Days After Pulled From Vehicle, Airlifted To Hospital: Police
An 82-year-old Barnegat man died days after a two-car crash on Wednesday, March 12, authorities said. At 11 a.m., officers responded to West Bay Avenue and Heritage Point Boulevard and found the crash, Barnegat police said. A 2020 Ford F-150, driven by a 69-year-old man, was traveling west on West Bay when it collided with a 2018 Acura entering the roadway to travel eastbound, driven by the 82-year-old, police said. The Acura driver had to be extricated by first responders and he was transported to Jersey Shore Trauma Center via helicopter, police said. He died two days later, police said. …
