SUV Driver Killed, Passenger Injured In Jersey Shore Crash With Dump Truck: Police One person was killed and another was injured when an SUV and a dump truck crashed in Jackson Township, authorities said. The SUV driver died in the crash on Cassville Road (County Route 571) on Wednesday, Sept. 4, police Chief Matthew Kunz confirmed to Daily Voice. Officers responded to the wreck at around 12:05 p.m. An SUV passenger was seriously injured in the crash that also involved a commercial dump truck. The crash occurred at about 11 p.m. on Friday, July 26, according to the New Jersey State Police fatal statistics web page. Route 38 westbound was closed between Haddonfield Road and Chapel Avenue, according to Cherry Hill police. No other details were immediately available.

Crash With Injuries Closes Atlantic City Expressway In One Direction, Njdot Says A crash with injuries shut down the Atlantic City Expressway in one direction near the city's convention center, officials said. The state Department of Transportation said the westbound lanes of the Atlantic City Expressway were closed at around 2:09 p.m. on Thursday, July 25. The crash happened just west of the Atlantic City Convention Center. One westbound lane reopened as of 4:08 p.m., the NJDOT said. Flaming Jackknife Tractor-Trailer On I-95 Near Betsy Ross Bridge (Video) A tractor-trailer fire shuttered part of Interstate 95 in Philadelphia for hours, Pennsylvania State Police explained on Friday morning.  The tractor-trailer was already ablaze when it jackknifed on I-95 South at mile marker 25.6 in Philadelphia County near the Betsy Ross Bridge into New Jersey around 7:30 a.m. on June 28, state police detailed in the release.  The fire has been extinguished and Troop K Philadelphia Station was on the scene as of 9 a.m. The driver was able to escape.  Click the player below to see a Citizen video of the firefighters on the scene.
