A head-on three-vehicle crash in Mercer County claimed the life of a 62-year-old woman and left two others injured late Friday night, Dec. 20, authorities said. The crash occurred at approximately 10:05 p.m. on South Broad Street near the intersection with Hempstead Road in Hamilton Township as snow was falling, the police department said. The preliminary investigation indicates that a 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan, driven by a 45-year-old Waterford Township man, was traveling eastbound when it collided head-on with a westbound 2011 Hyundai Sonata, driven by a 62-year-old woman from Lawrenceville.…

A Mercer County OB-GYN had his medical license suspended after he was accused of sexually exploiting two longtime patients during routine exams, authorities said. A skunk in Mercer County has tested positive for rabies, authorities said. The skunk was found near Van Dyke Road in Hopewell Township on Saturday, Nov. 23, the township's health department said in a news release on Tuesday, Nov. 26. The animal was submitted for testing at the state Public Health and Environmental Laboratories in Trenton. It was confirmed to be positive for rabies on Monday, Nov. 25. Pedestrian, 67, Killed While Crossing Central Jersey Road: Police
A Mercer County man was killed when he was struck while crossing a road, authorities said. Namtho Trinh of Hamilton Township died in the crash on Thursday, Nov. 7, the Hamilton Police Division said in a news release. Officers responded to the intersection of South Olden and Riley avenues at around 4:01 p.m. Police said a 2011 Ford Escape was driving west on South Olden Avenue. Trinh entered the intersection and was hit by the SUV's front passenger side as he tried to cross over to the southern side of the road. Man, 21, Dies In Motorcycle Crash On I-295 In Central Jersey, Troopers Say
A Millville man was killed when his motorcycle crashed on Interstate 295 in Mercer County, authorities said. John Marion, 21, died in the crash on Wednesday, Nov. 6, a state police spokesperson said. It happened on I-295 North near milepost 65.4 in Hamilton Township at around 11:49 a.m. Investigators said Marion was driving a Kawasaki motorcycle and struck the back of a Mini Cooper. His motorcycle overturned and he was ejected. Marion was pronounced dead at the scene. No injuries were reported in the Mini Cooper. The crash remained under investigation.

Crash Closes 2 Lanes Of Route 295 In Mount Laurel
Two separate crashes were causing delays on New Jersey highways Thursday afternoon, Oct. 17. The NJDOT site shows a vehicle overturned on Route 130 in Hamilton Township (Mercer County) in the northbound lanes around 2 p.m. It happened north of I-195 and closed one right lane. Then, on Route 295, a crash took out two right lanes in the northbound lanes south of Exit 40 in Mount Laurel. Delays between 10 and 20 minutes were reported for each.

Freak Accident Kills Boy, 12, Playing In NJ Backyard: Police
A New Jersey boy was killed when a tree fell on him in a backyard, authorities said. Lucas Schwartz, 12, was identified as the victim of the Eldridge Avenue incident in Lawrence Township on a GoFundMe page. Police said he'd been playing with a friend in the backyard of a home when gusty winds blew the tree over, and it fell onto him around 12:09 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14.
