The community is rallying to help a family from Camden County whose apartment was heavily damaged by smoke from a fire, according to authorities. Olivia Cafaro of Blackwood is organizing a GoFundMe campaign on behalf of the Pierce family, of the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township. On Wednesday, July 3, at approximately 1 a.m., Gloucester Township police were dispatched to 32 N. Black Horse Pike in Blackwood for a structure fire, Daily Voice reported. Firefighters Injured At Trucking Company Fire In South Jersey (

Firefighters from multiple departments In Camden County battled a trucking company fire on Friday, July 5, authorities said. At approximately 3:30 p.m., Gloucester Township police observed heavy smoke at Marksmen Transport, 1900 Erial Road in Blackwood, they said. Officers located flames in the rear lot of the commercial business which were contained to several large box trailers and a truck, police said. There were no injuries to any employees of the business, however, three firefighters were taken to local hospitals to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.&…

A jury has convicted a 76-year-old Pennsauken man for sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl about six years ago, authorities said. Joseph Jackson was found guilty on Friday, June 28, of two counts of second-degree sexual assault involving a victim under the age of 13, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. More than 8,000 New Jersey residents were without power amid another round of storms on Sunday, June 22. PSE&G's outage map shows 5,341 were in the dark in Burlington County and more than 3,000 in Camden. The majority of the outages were in Maple Shade, Moorestown, Haddon and Pennsauken.
