A 42-year-old high school paraprofessional from Burlington County has been arrested after authorities say he tried to convince a student to have sex. Michael Van Kline, of Lumberton, who worked at Seneca High School in Tabernacle, used social media to converse with the student, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw said. Man Sentenced To 90 Years In Prison For Baseball Bat Killing In Beverly City, Prosecutors Say
A man will likely spend the rest of his life in prison after beating a Highland Park man to death with a baseball bat in Burlington County, authorities said. Larry Brown, 29, was sentenced on Tuesday, Aug. 20 to 90 years in prison, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia Bradshaw said in a news release. A jury found him guilty in March of a dozen charges including first-degree murder. Brown was convicted of killing 34-year-old Cecilio Luciano inside a home on Bentley Avenue in Beverly City. A Mount Laurel man and former summer camp counselor was accused of having child pornography, authorities said. A Philadelphia motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash late Saturday, Aug. 10 in Burlington County, NJ, police said. Gladerby Bredy was found lying along the south shoulder of Arney’s Mount Road in Pemberton after being struck by a vehicle just after 10:40 p.m., Chief Jon Glass said. A boy was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train early Thursday, Aug. 8 in Burlington County, officials said. The crash happened just before 8:20 a.m. and involved a northbound River LINE train at Chestnut Street crossing in Palmyra, NJ Transit spokesman Kyalo Mulumba said.
