Newark Man Gets 10 Years For Giving Minors Drugs For Sex: Morris County Prosecutor
A 26-year-old Newark man was sentenced 10 years in prison on Thursday, Aug. 1 after pleading guilty to offering two teenagers narcotics for sex in Morris County last year, authorities said. Avyaan Gupta was riding his bicycle in Parsippany when he was struck by a vehicle and killed block from his home on Tuesday, July 9. He was eight years old. At 5:34 p.m., Avyaan was struck by a 2022 Mazda CX5 traveling in the area of 189 Littleton Road, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Parsippany –Troy Hills Police Chief Richard Pantina said. Morris County Man Gets 15 Years For Shooting Wife In Head: Authorities
A 79-year-old East Hanover resident was sentenced to 15 years in jail on Friday, July 12 after pleading guilty to shooting his wife in the head in 2020, authorities said. In March 2020 at 2:02 p.m., East Hanover police were called to a resident on Selmar Terrace on a report of a domestic incident involving a gun, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and East Hanover Police Chief Christopher Cannizzo said.
