Cops ID Man Killed By Driver Who Veered Off Route 46 A 64-year-old Independence Township man was identified as the victim struck and killed by a vehicle that veered off Route 46 and onto the sidewalk in Hackettstown Wednesday morning, Jan. 29, authorities said. At 10:52 a.m., a 2018 GMC Canyon, driven by a 61-year-old Flanders man, veered off the road and hit Roynaldo Tabeta while he was walking on the sidewalk in front of the CVS Pharmacy on Main Street, Hackettstown police said. Randolph Teen Fatally Struck By Vehicle: Prosecutor An 18-year-old Randolph resident was fatally struck by a vehicle on the evening of Friday, Nov. 29, authorities said. Maria Lorena Orellana-Valverde was struck by a 2022 Honda HRV at the intersection of Route 10 and Cedar Grove Road, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said. Orellana-Valverde was transported to Morristown Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries, authorities said. The incident remains under investigation, authorities said.

The unidentified male was struck by an Acura sedan while trying to cross the roadway in the northbound lanes around 8:05 p.m., Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Department Chief Luis A. Guzman said. Aurora Marcos Travis, of Newton, died on Thursday, June 27, after being struck by a 25-year-old driver who failed to yield as she crossed Madison Street in a marked crosswalk, local police said. Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Vehicle In Morris County, Prosecutor Says A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on Route 46 in Parsippany on the evening of Thursday, June 6, authorities said. At 9:50 p.m., the pedestrian was struck near 1429 Route 46 by a 2015 Dodge Journey traveling eastbound, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said.  The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. The driver remained on scene, authorities said. The man who died has not been publicly identified. The crash remains under investigation, authorities said.
