A 15-year-old remains hospitalized after a dirt bike he was operating crashed into a pickup truck on Thursday, Oct. 17, in Holland Township, authorities said. At 7:05 p.m., Holland Township police and firefighters responded to Milford Warren Glen Road to treat the 15-year-old, the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office said. A plane carrying two people skidded off the runway at the Essex County Airport on Wednesday evening, Nov. 6 after its landing gear failed, Fairfield police said. The flight began at Essex County Airport but was cut short about six miles out when the pilot noticed electrical issues, Fairfield Police Chief Anthony Manna said. A 24-year-old bicyclist had to be airlifted to a hospital after he collided with a trash can in Warren County on the afternoon of Tuesday, Oct. 15. The crash occurred at 1:30 p.m. at Hope Road in Liberty Township, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. Lucas Schwartz, 12, was identified as the victim of the Eldridge Avenue incident in Lawrence Township on a GoFundMe page. A train operator was killed and multiple others hurt after a tree fell on an NJ Transit train Monday morning, Oct. 14 in Burlington County. Man's Leg Crushed By Commercial Chiller: Readington PD
A man was hospitalized after his leg was crushed by a commercial chiller in Readington on the late morning of Thursday, Oct. 10, authorities said. At 11:28 a.m., officers responded to a business on Route 202 and found a 52-year-old man bleeding uncontrollably after his leg was crushed by a commercial chiller, Readington police said.
