Morris County Resident Made $54 Million, Didn't File Tax Returns: Feds
John Goggin, a Morris County resident, who previously served as general counsel for Moody's, was sentenced to eight months in prison on Thursday, Oct. 24, after admitting to failing to file an income tax return for several years, authorities said. Goggins, who lives in Chatham, was a former senior vice-president and general counsel for the credit rating service, before retiring in 2023. Most Expensive Homes Sold In Morris County In Last 30 Days
A $2.74 million house tops the list of most expensive homes sold in Morris County in the last 30 days, according to Zillow. According to Redfin, home prices were up 10.8% compared to last year, in September 2024, selling for a median price of $665,000. On average, homes in Morris County sold after 20 days on the market compared to 21 days last year, Redfin said. 18 Unsolved Burglaries Cracked: Pair Arrested In Months-Long North Jersey Spree
Two men have been arrested and charged in 18 burglaries and one attempted burglary across North Jersey, authorities said. A months-long investigation found Kali J. Two Newark residents were arrested and charged with stealing a vehicle out of Morris County on Wednesday, May 29, authorities said. Omar Deas, 25, and Rahmir Singletary, 21, stole the 2012 Audi A5 from Chatham around 4:35 p.m., Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman with the New Jersey State Police said. The car was spotted in Newark where it was disabled to a prior deployment of a tire deflation device, Lebron said.
