Two suspects are at large after a barbershop was robbed in Newark on Monday, March 17, authorities said.
At 5:16 p.m., the suspects entered a barbershop on the 900 block of Frelinghuysen Avenue, Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. said. Patrons ran to the back, except for the victim, who was still in the barber's chair, Miranda said. A 51-year-old Newark man was spared prison and accepted into recovery court over the objections of prosecutors after being convicted of robbing a victim of their casino winnings in Atlantic City in 2023, authorities said.
On Friday, Mach 3, 2023, the victim won $20,000 playing poker and was befriended by Robert Reed, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said. The next morning, Reed told the victim he missed his bus and asked for a ride, authorities said.

Thomas Manzo, the ex-husband of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Dina Cantin, was sentenced on Wednesday, Jan. 8, after previously pleading guilty to stalking her and her then-fiancé now-husband David Cantin, leading to a 2017 home invasion, authorities said.

A man is at large after he robbed an Exxon gas station minimart at gunpoint in Newark on Friday, Dec. 27, authorities said.
