NJ Transit Train Strikes Vehicle In Morris County An NJ Transit train crashed into a vehicle in Morris County on the afternoon of Wednesday, Feb. 19, authorities said. At 4:01 p.m. Morris and Essex Line train 877, which departed Hoboken at 2:27 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Hackettstown at 4:23 p.m., struck a vehicle at the Main Street crossing adjacent to the Netcong Train Station, NJ Transit said.  The two occupants of the vehicle had exited the car prior to the strike but were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, NJ Transit said. Driver Hospitalized After Car Crashes Into Tree In Hunterdon County: Njsp A driver was hospitalized after their ca crashed into a tree on the evening of Friday, Dec. 27, authorities said. At 10:58 p.m., a Volkswagen passenger vehicle veered off the roadway and stuck a tree on Hockenbury Drive in Glen Gardner Borough, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

Firefighter Injured In Rutgers Barn Blaze A firefighter was injured battling a fire in a storage barn at Rutgers University in North Brunswick, authorities said. The fire broke out at about 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 11 at the Horticultural Farm property at Rutgers Gardens, according to a university spokeswoman. The building was unoccupied at the time, she said. The fire was contained to the barn with assistance from local fire departments.  One firefighter received treatment at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, the spokeswoman said.
