A Trenton police officer and K-9 were injured when an unlicensed driver sped through a stop sign, authorities said. The crash occurred Thursday morning, July 25 at the corner of Second and Bridge streets, according to Trenton Mayor Reed Gusciora The officer's vehicle was T-boned, sending both cars into a residential building, the mayor said. Authorities in Morris County are investigating the death of a 6-month-old infant on Wednesday, July 17. Police were called to a parking lot near South Ridgedale Avenue at Route 10 in East Hanover around 1:30 p.m. where they found the baby girl in a parked vehicle, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll said. Paramedics attempted to render lifesaving aid and the baby was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. A motorcyclist was injured after he struck a deer in Hunterdon County on the early morning of Tuesday, June 25, authorities said. At 5:05 a.m. on Frontage Road in Clinton, a motorcyclist was traveling on Frontage Road when a deer entered the roadway and was struck by the motorcycle, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Marchan said. The crash remains under investigation, Marchan said.

Authorities have released additional information in the double shooting Wednesday, June 12 in Carteret. Two females were found having suffered gunshot wounds on Roosevelt Avenue around 9 a.m., and were airlifted to area hospitals, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Carteret Police Chief Dennis McFadden said.
