A New Jersey man who the NY Times says is a veteran of the U.S. Army has been found guilty of assaulting a police officer at the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot. Brian Glenn Bingham, 38, of Pennsville, has been found guilty of felony offenses of civil disorder and assaulting, resisting, or impeding an officer from the Metropolitan Police Department, the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Columbia said on Tuesday, Nov. 4 — the day before Election Day 2024 (criminal complaint here). James "Jim" Osler, of Somers Point, died on Aug. 24 due to complications of kidney disease, according to his obituary on the Adams-Perfect Funeral Home website. He was 36 years old.
